1. "Hmm. I'm guessing it could be radioactive in nature? It's highly doubtful that it is a virus or any sort as symptoms still manifested in staff wearing masks. Curious. Anyways, it's a rather interesting read and I can't find any conclusive reports from the interwebz..."
  2. “Why was the hospital keeping patients inside? And why didn't they do more to try to contain the chemical besides closing down the hospital, which had the weakest people in the area?"

3. "I feel like they could have tried harder to figure out what it was that caused the outbreak.
4. "I just think that not nearly enough is being said about the issue to make it stop. It’s an excellent example of what is happening all over the world."
5. "Why is the government treating it as if it’s an isolated incident?"
6. "How the heck did something like that get into her purse?"
7. "That’s pretty scary. If she didn’t mean to put it in there, then something had to happen where it was put there. Or maybe she did accidentally get it which means it was just out in the environment over there and there is some chemical that is not being watched very carefully."
8. Is she lying? How is she telling the truth? That’s impossible.
9. "It’s screwed up how something like this happens. There are obviously harmful chemicals in the enviroment put there by careless people and because of them, people's health is at stake. Kids develop conditions and diseases that are unexplainable. I just don't understand why this isn't a top priority to fix."
10. "Is this article talking about an act of terrorism? Do things like this happen often? That's so crazy."

Three questions:
Based on the impact environmental tragedies affect you/your family how likely are you to take action against disasters like this one?
My family has had a history of moving around a lot, so they would definitely not just sit there as the environmental conditions of the area took a toll on their children. We would move. And something would be said about how it all needed to be taken care of. Immediately.
Do you believe that environmental crises affect you/ your family today?
Definitely! Environmental crises are hard to avoid and if you’re living with and breathing and being around some environmental crises, it will affect you in some way.
Why should we care about something that happened over 30 years ago?
Because we are supposed to learn from the past so we don’t make the same mistakes. There are more regulations concerning things like this and how chemicals need to be disposed of correctly. And in the area even now there are probably some chemicals that were not taken care of and people still need to take caution.
