Jangkyu (John) Ko

This picture displays public health both physically and spiritually. Because of the recent flu outbreak at the M.T.C., missionaries are no longer allowed to shake hands. This rule was put into place to decrease the spread of the flu. This picture also displays public(spiritual) health because, one of the roles of a missionary is to feed and take care of someones spirit by inviting them to come unto Christ.

This is public health sticker assignment! OUTHOUSES

Christopher Lyon (clyon):  I think that outhouses are considered public health.  After serving in an almost-third-world country, I learned how important sanitation is and how a lack of cleanliness can affect the community.  Places for waste keep the streets clean and help prevent the spread of disease and illness.

This is Public Health Sticker/ Blog Assignment

On the first day of class, This is Public Health stickers will be distributed to all class members. In order to complete this assignment, students will place the sticker in a location that defines public health to them. Students will then take a digital picture of the sticker on location and load their photo onto the class blog, byupublichealth100spring (username: byupublichealth100, password: jonassalk). Students will include their name, their uploaded photo, and a brief (no more than 3 sentences) description on why this is public health to them. Please be careful as to the placement of the stickers (i.e. not all over campus).
