Abi Gunn's Love Canal Assignment

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5A5zVNpkuzk(Greenpeace video on electronic waste dumping in Ghana)
Jewell Farr:  I think that’s awful that we think we can dump our waste on other countries and make it someone else’s problem.
Davd Farr: There has to be a more efficient way to deal with the waste?
Sherry Gunn:  We need to become more responsible for our own problems.  The worst is that they let kids work in such conditions.
Blake Farr: We need to come up with a better way to recycle e-waste.
Maggie Gunn: Our trash should be our problem, not someone else’s.
Eliza Gunn: This is awful!  Why are we letting our world become so gross?
Scott Gunn:  And to think when we got rid of our last computer, they said it would be recycled for parts… it probably just went to Ghana…
Annie Lieshman:  How is the US allowing this to happen?
Bradley Anderson:  We should be more cognizant of how our waste is disposed of.

In your opinion are environmental hazards something we should be concerned about on a daily basis?
Yes, I think it should because this is our world and when we destroy it then we lose our homes, and then what?  Our world is already dying we need to make a daily effort to help save what we can.

Were you aware that environmental tragedies of this magnitude still exist today?
I was made aware of this issue in my Environmental Health class.
