Love Canal-Grant Zimmerman

I posted on my Facebook the oil spill disaster in New Zealand that happened back in 2011 along with the question In your opinion are environmental hazards something we should be concerned about on a daily basis? I also talked to some of my friends face to face and asked them the same question. Here were some of the responses

1. Yes we need to take care of the earth

2.I think it's something we should be concerned about, but concern doesn't really do anything, you have to take action which is something not many people are willing to do.

3.we should take more care of how we transport our supplies so accidents like this don't occur

4. this is horrible I didn't know this even happened

5. YES!

6. OF COURSE!

7. we all need to be aware of these things

8. if we try everyday to better the planet then we wont have to be concerned everyday

9.on a daily basis no, but we should try to better things 

10. I am by no means an environmentalist but I do think we should be concerned for what is going on in our country and all around us.

These kinds of things are still happening today

. Some of the same tragedies that are happening are like this oil spill. Some are accidents of course but there are still some environmental hazards happening because people are still not well informed on the dangers of waste disposal etc.

Were you aware that environmental tragedies of this magnitude still exist today? . 

Yes I was still aware that tragedies like the love canal still existed I mean if it happened once it could happen again. 

Do you believe that environmental crises affect you/your family today? 

 I believe that they do because if someone contaminated the water in my home-town that would affect my family and I. things like this happen all the time but if we work together we can reduce the occurrences.
