Public health is not only the act of informing the public about inventive ways to encourage health; it is also defined by the general measures installed to prevent accidents for those with compromised health. These handicap-parking spots exist near every mall, hospital, etc., and they are placed within a short distance of that building. By providing these spots for those facing disability, particularly physical, we avoid forcing them to travel far distances to reach their destination after exiting their car, thereby preventing falls or similar accidents. Though we fail to appreciate these simply because they are so common, I hope that this sticker serves as a reminder of all the small things which so often make a difference.
