Smoke Detector = Public Health

I chose to put my sticker on a smoke detector because they operate to save lives, just as public health is meant to prevent illness and death and promote long and fulfilling lives.  By having smoke detectors in homes and schools, we can rest assured that our children and our families are safe from any undetected flames.  A smoke detector, along with the many other public health measure already in place, is meant to prevent an accident from turning into a fatal incident.
