To me, public health means that we not only pay attention to
issues going on around us but also throughout the world. One issue that seems
to be a pretty popular trend for people our age is a lack of simple resources
available in third world countries like clean water or shoes. My picture,
although it wasn’t taken near a dirty water source in another country, (my
roommate has shoes, but Raintree’s stream really is filthy) represents these
types of issues going on throughout the world today and a need for awareness of
the things that we sometimes take for granted.
