Neighborhood Garden
North Park Neighborhood Garden is
in front of my apartment complex; it is a representation for me of how Public
Health improves and promotes health. I
chose to place the ‘‘this is Public Health’’ sticker there because Senior
citizens living in the Mountain View Apartments have the opportunity to grow
their own vegetables; and therefore have a cheap and healthy lifestyle.
Additionally, it is an example of
some other organized efforts, like Community Action, that promote health and
self-reliance in local communities.
