Public Health = Vaccines!

Jennifer Meek, HLTH100
I saw this sign over the weekend at the Smith's in my hometown of Farmington, Utah. This represents public health to me because vaccines are a huge part of public health that saves lives and keeps us safe from communicable diseases. Vaccination is also currently a topic of much debate in the US, especially in the vaccination of children. Much of the fear that people have of vaccines and immunizations are due to lack of knowledge, which brings up health promotion and education, also very important aspects of public health.
